Evansville Museums Offer Something for Everyone

If you can’t find a museum in Evansville, you just aren’t looking hard enough.

Options abound, including the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science, the Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville (cMoe), the Reitz Home Museum and the Evansville African American Museum.

The Evansville African American Museum is the city’s most recent addition, opening in 2007 in the last remaining buildings of one of the nation’s first public housing projects. Features include an introductory video, computer-guided tours of the old neighborhood and a tour of a refurbished one-bedroom apartment that would house a family of six.
